The Paper Boat

This short piece is built around artistry and colour. Played to ‘Van Gogh’ by Virginio Aiello and Vesislava, the video sets the scene of a paper boat sailing through the ocean as the sun rises.

Using edge displacement nodes inside of Blender, combined with painted textures, this scene creates an artistic effect that resembles a sequence of still paintings. Colour palettes were also analysed during the creation of this piece to ensure the final product resembled artworks of a similar taste.
